Cool Character, but Im not too sure what he's doing is he licking the screen or sticking his tongue out at me?

Nice practice, gotta make sure those lines follow the perspective though. The top right cube's front plane's top-right corner is misaligned!(lol that was a mouthful hopefully you understood that).

Also charcoal does have subtle highlights and usually white ash speckled all over it as well as cracks. Without those little details your charcoal can be very easily confused for rubber, or just a matte-black cube.

Your sugar cube also lacks details that would make it look undeniably like a sugar cube. Google sugar cubes and you'll find that the silhouette of it looks kind of like rough cement bricks, and it's quite translucent.

Nice lighting! But why is it so low resolution?

cause it was super tiny XD also I used sharpen then unsharpen mask for effect, try it sometimes it works and looks great specially in higher resolutions after balancing contrast, I like it, reminds me of PS1 rpg's in game portraits, honestly I wasn't gonna post it because I was practicing, It's been a long time since I painted in photoshop in a more detailed style than what i am doing recently but then I thought why not because I was happy with the results.
